Prior to the 2016-17 NHL season, the Boston Bruins sought out Dr. George Theodore to perform foot surgery on winger Frank Vatrano, who had multiple torn ligaments in his left foot. The procedure was performed at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Theodore is the Orthopedic Foot & Ankle consultant to the Bruins and has aided many Bruins – past and present – with foot and ankle injuries, including Brandon Carlo.
