After pitcher Josh Beckett injured his right ankle in the middle of the 2011 MLB season, the Boston Red Sox sought out foot and ankle specialist George Theodore, MD for an ankle examination. Following the examination, Dr. Theodore determined Beckett had suffered a sprain in his right ankle.
This was not Dr. Theodore’s first time aiding a Red Sox star, as he performed foot surgery on Dustin Pedroia in 2010. Dr. Theodore continues to work closely with the team as their Orthopedic Foot & Ankle consultant.
