Following a left foot injury suffered by pitcher Andrew Miller in 2013, the Red Sox turned to sports medicine specialist George Theodore, MD to perform foot surgery on Miller. Miller had suffered ligament damage in his foot backing up a play at home plate in a game against the Angels. Dr. Theodore performed successful surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Theodore has worked with many Red Sox players in the past, and is a trusted medical advisor to the team as their Orthopedic Foot & Ankle consultant.
